PURPOSE:To provide an excellent halftone reproducibility and to prevent achromatic components from beng broken in a device which corrects the chromaticity of a color picture to be reproduced at the time of reproducing the color picture in accordance with signals corresponding to three primary colors by display or print. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a correcting operation means 4 which corrects the relative level of signals RA, GA, and BA corresponding to three primary colors by the operation between respective signals and a color correction coefficient matrix, a gray component extracting means 5 which compares the levels of signals corresponding to three primary colors with one another for extracting a gray component, a correcting means 7 which outputs a gray balance correction signal of each of three primary colors by the operation between the extracted gray component 6a and correction coefficients corresponding to three primary colors determined by the color correction coefficient matrix, and an adding means 8 which adds the signal outputted from the correcting means 4 and the output of the correcting means 7. |
