The labels, which are to be glued to the undersides of bags, are cut from a continuous strip of material (54) by blades (12), mounted on a rotor (11), which cooperate with blades (13) on the transport rotor (14). The label is gripped by a suction head mounted on the end of a swinging arm (25) attached to the transport rotor. The label is carried by the swinging arm to the conveyor (56) where it is pressed against the underside of a bag delivered by the conveyor. USE/ADVANTAGE - Gluing of labels to the underside of bags by a machine which also cuts the labels from a continuous strip. |
