The equipment used for laminating together printed and unprinted films has a vacuum chamber into which the stack of material is placed and then hot pressed under vacuum. This chamber has a swivelling top wall and a fixed lower wall; the top wall has a rubber pressure cushion, the lower wall is cooled; the chamber is either heated with a mat on the top pressure mat or by a system incorporated in the lower wall above the cooling tubes. The layout can have a conveyor belt running between the chamber walls and fitted with a thin polyester film or silicone-treated carrier such as paper or a release film. ADVANTAGE - The equipment makes it possible to laminate PVC, polyethylene, polycarbonate, polyester or similar films, where they must not be liable to move and must be cooled under pressure.
