The grid, which can be employed in a pressurised water reactor, comprises two sets of intersecting small plates fastened at their points of intersection, defining cells some of which are intended to carry fuel rods and the others guide tubes, provided with fins (26) for stirring the coolant extending the small plates downstream and oriented so as to divert the coolant transversely to its general direction of flow, each small plate being provided with means of abutment (28), (30) projecting inwards from each of the faces of the cells intended to receive fuel rods, defining a passage larger than the dimension of the rods but sufficiently small to prevent the rod contained in the cell from coming into contact with the fins. These means comprise, in each wall, two portions which are cut out and deformed into a scoop shape (28) and offset in relation to each other in the direction of flow of the coolant, whose projections are opposite in direction, tending to make the coolant flow from one of the cells to the other. …<IMAGE>… |
