<p>PURPOSE:To provide a heat-resistant deodorizing filter medium having excellent performance over a long period, without being deteriorated by the heat under high temp. and with the flame resistance, formability and shape holding property improved. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic polyimide fiber and fibrous activated carbon are mixed to obtain a web 1, the webs are laminated, needled, entangled and integrated to form a nonwoven fabric, the nonwoven fabric is heat-treated while controlling the change in the planar area to tighten the entanglement between the fibers, and a heat-resistant deodorizing filter medium 10 is obtained. The content of the aromatic polyimide fiber is controlled to 20-70wt.% and that of the fibrous activated carbon to 30-80wt.%. The web 1 is superposed on a knit consisting of an aromatic polyimide fiber.</p> |
