发明名称 COLD CALENDERING PROCESS FOR THIN STAINLESS STEEL BAND
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce stainless steel bands in high productivity, having excellent surface properties, capable of suppressing heat scratch development through large-diameter high-speed calendering process by using an emulsion calendering fluid having specific physical properties. CONSTITUTION:In cold calendering process for thin stainless steel bands, an emulsion calendering fluid consisting of an ester of pref. (A) a fatty acid and (B) a hindered alcohol such as trimethylolpropane or pentaerythritol is used. This emulsion has such characteristics that the viscosity (eta) at 40 deg.C and the mean particle size (dmum) of the emulsion particles satisfy the following relationships: 7>0.75.D+55 [D is the diameter of a working roller (mm)] and d<90.eta<-0.64>.
