OUTPUT METHOD FOR TRANSLATED SENTENCE IN AUTOMATIC TRANSLATION MACHINE

PURPOSE:To inform a human being of the outline of the meaning of the inputted original by outputting a partial translation where analysis is completed even if analysis is failed in the construction analysis of an English sentence and the like based on an ATN system. CONSTITUTION:An ATN network file 150 stores an ATN network obtained by expressing the construction of English in a network system. The inputted English sentence from a keyboard 110 and the like is stored in an original memory 141. A central processing unit 120 analyzes the construction of the inputted English sentence by the ATN network of the file 150. There is an English sentence analysis program 131 for analysis in a program memory 130. The construction of the inputted English sentence is analyzed under the control of the English sentence analysis program 131, and back tracking is stopped in accordance with an analysis state until that time if back tracking is required. A translated sentence at that time is outputted and analysis is proceeded with the remaining English sentence as new input.
