PURPOSE:To improve the conversion efficiency of the KANA(Japanese syllbary) and KANJI(Chinese character) conversion device. CONSTITUTION:A KANA pronunciation character string is inputted from an input device 10 and a KANA-KANJI conversion program 34 which performs KANA-KANJI conversion by referring to a basic dictionary 42 containing characters corresponding to pronunciations of words and a word order storage area 29 stored with the priority order of the words in the basic dictionary 42. A rule retrieval program 36 retrieves a rule dictionary 46 containing rules having patterns of plural word strings in the basic dictionary 42 and their rewriting information and the contents of a conversion result storage means 22 matching the rule in the rule dictionary 46. When the matching rule is retrieved, a rule rewriting program 38 rewrites the contents of the conversion result storage means 22. An output means 50 outputs the contents of the conversion result storage means 22 as a KANA-KANJI mixed character string. Then a learning process program 39 modifies the contents of the word order storage means 29. |
