The invention concerns a device for conveying and positioning preferably elongated workpieces, in particular wooden workpieces (1), in a processing facility in which the processing tools are fixed in position. The device has a trolley (4) which moves along the processing facility and is provided with a carrying device, which can be raised and lowered, for the workpiece being processed. The workpiece-carrying device is a vacuum-operated suction device (13) which, when brought down on the upper surface (22) of the workpiece, holds the workpiece firmly against itself, thus establishing force-locking contact between them. |
