A liquid mixt. of solids and liqs., specially of granular chloride of lime and water, solvent or emulsifiers for the purpose of decontamination of tracks of open country, is prepd. in a vessel with a radial symmetry with a funnel and an overflow weir in which a rotary flow is produced for the solid and liq. components supplied to it. A toroidal annulus with an inside overflow weir receives water by a pump through flow controllers and pipes. The solid in the funnel is supplied by a screw conveyor driven by a variable-speed motor. A liq. component is added from the vessel by a feed proportioner. Another pump leads to a mixer with several chambers and pumps in series. The discharge pump can be connected by valves either to the outflow from funnel or from the mixer.
