<p>A convection air holding zone (32, 32a) utilizes turbulent ejector air flow along paths parallel to the path of travel of the article (28) being baked in a paint bake oven (10). Air recirculation means (50, 52) are provided within the convection air holding zone (32, 32a) which filters dirt particles from the air and a heat source (56) is applied to the air to compensate for temperature loss due to heat exchange with the article (28) and oven walls (14, 16). Maintaining a turbulent air flow over the articles (28) being baked in the convection air holding zone (32, 32a) helps insure an even temperature throughout the zone, thereby enabling a more consistent paint finish on the article.</p> |
