<p>PURPOSE:To avoid an abnormal operation of control caused by the plane shape of the tail part of a rolled stock by closing control operation when rolling load reaches a set value and holding the controlled variable when a meandering control output capacity is closed. CONSTITUTION:A rolling load differential rate P/Pi=(Pw-Pd)/(Pw+Pd) is calculated by a rolling load arithmetic device 6 from rolling loads Pw, Pd on the operating and driving sides detected by rolling load detecting devices 5a, 5b of a control rolling mill 1. A control output capacity is operated in a meandering adjuster 7 set to a prescribed control gain according to this rolling load differential rate P/PI. A rolling down command is sent to right and left rolling down cylinders 8a, 8b based on this control output capacity and a gap between the work rolls is controlled to restrain the meandering.</p> |
