The present invention provides a differential unit having input means (1) for receiving power, a first arrangement of gears (2, 3, 4, 5) for delivering power to first output means (4, 8) and a second arrangement of gears (5, 10, 11, 12, 13) for delivering power to second (13, 14) and third (12, 15) output means. The first arrangement of gears (2, 3, 4, 5) transmits power from the input means (1) for receiving power to the first output means (4, 8) and an input means (5) of the second arrangement of gears (5, 10, 11, 12, 13) and operates as a differential connected between the first output means (4, 8) and the input means (5) of the second arrangement of gears. The second arrangement of gears (5, 10, 11, 12, 13) transmits power from the input means (5) thereof to both the second (13, 14) and third (12, 15) output means and operates as a differential connected between the second (13, 14) and third (12, 15) output means. |
