The invention concerns a motor vehicle of very compact design. Tis is achieved by virtue of the face that the splashboard (10) extends up from a point on the vehicle floor behing and below the front axle (5) and that the propulsion unit (1 to 5) is located in front of and below the splashboard (10). In the event of a crash, the propulsion unit (1 to 5) can be deflected downwards and to the rear without reducing the crusher length of the front of the vehicle. |
