PURPOSE:To provide fiber reinforced resin cogon substitute, which is semi- incombustible and closely resembles natural cogon. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacturing method concerned of fiber reinforced resin bar-like body, a plurality of reinforcing fibers 1 are continuously drawn and impregnated with resin and finally bundled so as to mold the fiber reinforced resin bar-like body by thermally hardening the resin. Concretely, a plurality of reinforcing fibers 1 are continuously drawn, impregnated with phenolic resin 2 and bundled so as to control the outer diameter of the resultant reinforcing fiber bundle 3. In succession, the reinforcing fiber bundle 3 is heated from outside by being subjected to hot air. Next, in the peripherally expanded reinforcing fiber bundle 3 heated with hot air, large diameter parts 7 are produced at the desired intervals with proper means. After that, the reinforcing fiber bundle 3, at the desired intervals of which the large diameter parts are produced, is thermally hardened. Finally, in cutting process, the reinforcing fiber bundle 3 is cut to lengths and, in steaming process, the resultant cut reinforcing fiber bundles 3 are steamed. |
