PURPOSE:To enable automatically transferring paper laid on bins into an envelope. CONSTITUTION:To enable automatically transferring a sheet of paper P laid on a bin 35 into an envelope a means for transferring paper P on a bin 35 into an envelope is provided. This means for the transfer of paper P comprises: a pack unit 46 by which a sheet of paper P on a bin 35 while being gripped is brought to the position of an envelope; envelope guides 57, 58 which guide the envelope to the position where the paper P is brought; an envelope chuck 45 which holds the envelope at the position to which the envelope is guided; and an envelope-opening mylar 61 which is placed close to the envelope chuck 45 and whose forward end is inserted into the opening of the envelope in a manner of guiding the paper P brought by the pack sit 46 into the opening of the envelope.
