PURPOSE:To obtain a remote magnetism detecting apparatus which converts the change in stress and the like into the weak change of magnetism even under the severe conditions wherein reliability is required, converts the measured result into the optical signal, and can send the signal to remote places with the small amount of loss. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting ring 11 for detecting the magnetism from a body to be detected, a permeability bar 13, which is arranged at the vicinity of the superconductive ring 11 and transfers leaking magnetic flux, and a magnetooptic converter element 14, which is arranged so that the magnetic flux of the permeability bar 13 is transmitted, are provided. A polarizer 15 and an analyzer 16 are provided at the end parts of the magnetooptic conversion element 14 in the direction that is perpendicular to the magnetic field generated with the permeability bar 13. A light conducting fiber 17 and a light source 18 are connected to the polarizer 15. An output optical fiber 19 and a light receiving part 20 are connected to the analyzer 16. |
