<p>PURPOSE:To improve non-seizure performance, durability for load and durability for fatigue at a high speed and high temperature by composing a multilayer sliding material for high speed of a steel back plate, a cupper-lead bearing alloy, and a lead-alloy overlay, each having a specified component and selected characteristic. CONSTITUTION:A steel back plate has 155 or more of Vicker's hardness and 42kgf/mm<2> or more of 0.2% durability in order to prevent fretting abrasion of a back face of the back plate, and improve capability of tight-close between a bearing and a housing. Cupper and lead bearing alloy has 0.25cal/cm.sen deg.C or more of thermal conductivity in order to speedily conduct heat generated on a sliding surface and improve non-seizure performance. Its hardness is not less than 75 for keeping durability for fatigue. A lead alloy overlay has a melt- starting temperature exceeding 250 deg.C for preventing generation of wiping phenomenon at a high temperature. Accordingly, a multilayer sliding material prepared by combining above layers shows an excellent characteristic as a bearing material for a high speed engine.</p> |
