A cutter is disclosed for cutting the folded edge of folded sheets of paper or the like, which comprises a box-shaped body, a channel-shaped groove made in the body along one of its edges, the folded edge of the folded sheets of paper or the like arriving via (through, by ...) the groove, a pair of leaf springs arranged facing one another inside and along the groove so that they are very close to one another or in forced contact with each other so as to form a section for guiding the folded edge of the sheets of paper approximately in a central part of the groove along its length, a blade holder of the cutter carrying a cutter blade having a cutting extremity extending into the area for guiding the folded edge of the sheets of paper and which is removably mounted in the body, and a mechanism for locking the blade holder of the cutter which immobilises and releases the blade holder of the cutter with respect to the body. <IMAGE>
