PURPOSE:To scrape away surely a remaining developer on a developing roll by forming the top end of a developer scraping member for removing the remaining developer from the surface of the developing roll into the recessed shape in which both sides ends project from the central side. CONSTITUTION:The developing roll 2, a toner hopper 3 and a developer stripping means 4 are housed in a developing vessel 5. The means 4 is constituted of a supporting member 7 and a scraping member 9 attached to the member 7. A thin sheet of phosphor bronze, stainless steel, etc. is used for the member 9 and if formed to the recessed shape in which both end sides 10a at the top end 10 thereof project from the central side 10b. The top end of the scraping member is brought into uniform press contact with the outside peripheral surface of the developing roll to remove surely the remaining developer and therefore the generation of uneven development, etc. owing to the failure in removing the remaining developer, etc. is suppressed. |
