Each suspension element has a variable reaction damper, with the damping variable between wide limits. The vehicle control monitors the dynamic state of the vehicle to detect rolling, and to counteract the rolling movements. The steering is monitored to determine steady state roll, or inclination, and variable states. The steering monitor (2) detects if the driver is entering- or leaving a curve, or is moving in a steady curve. Vertical inertial sensors on the sides of the vehicle detect the roll action and discriminate between roll and vertical movements. ADVANTAGE - Improved stability, cornering control, comfort.
