PURPOSE:To prevent density irregularities due to ink droplet landing accuracy or ink discharge amount resulting from the distortion of a recording head and chromatic variations due to the sequential order of ink ejection from taking place. CONSTITUTION:The recording area of each color recording head is divided into blocks, then a recording pattern by each block is a different thinning pattern from the other, and a recording material is scanned a plurality of times. During this process, a distance recording material corresponding to a single block is transported for each scan and then is subscanned. Subsequently, a thinning image is sequentially recorded with a different color by each recording head in a specified area (an area complying with a single block) of the recording material. |
