The logic device comprises a programmable array responsive to to signals applied to the external terminals of the device for generating a number of logic signals. A number of programmable output cells each receive logic signals which are stored and generate a signal in return at predetermined input/output ports. A number of storage cells each store predetermined logic signals and generate a signal in return. A counter stores a count value which is selectably incremented or decremented and generates counting signals indicative of the value. A device receives and counts signals and logic signals for storing the count value in a last-in, first-out stack for removing the last-in contents of the stack. The counter also receives signals generated by the stack.
