<p>A device for identification friend or foe (IFF) is described which contains a radio transmitting/receiving device (F) which, in addition to message transmission, is equipped for transmitting, receiving and analysing IFF signals. Furthermore, the IFF device contains a laser transmitter (LS) and a laser receiver (LE) which are coupled to the radio transmitting/receiving device (F) via a control device (G).
