PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control developer from being electrified to a reverse polarity, to eliminate generation of fogging or unevenness in density and to provide a good image with sufficient image density when the developing is carried out repeatedly in a developing device where the developer is returned inside a device main body by having a destaticizing member come into contact with a developer carrier after developing. SOLUTION: In this developing device, the developer stored inside the device main body 10 is carried by the developer carrier 11, the quantity of the carried developer from the developer carrier is restricted by a restricting member 14 and the developer is carried to a developing range facing an image carrier 1 and developing is carried out. The destaticizing member 15 is brought into contact with the developer carrier after developing and the developer after developing is returned inside the device main body. A resistance adjustment means 17 varying resistance 16a and 16b between the destaticizing member and a power source 13 for applying voltage to the destaticizing member is provided. |
