Instrument receiving an intramedullary pin with a sharpened blade for surgical treatment of fractures of the femur, including the positioning of an intramedullary pin

Stainless-steel surgical instrument consisting of a blade in the form of a trough with upper convexity 1 with a length of 135 mm, a width of 20 mm and a depth of 12 mm, anatomical grip (cuff) 2 protected by circular ring 3 43 mm in diameter and adapted for use in orthotraumatological surgical interventions to correct diaphysial fractures of the femur including the positioning of an intramedullary pin. It allows a smaller incision in the skin and easier and safer exteriorization of the proximal end of the pin on the lateral face of the haunch (hip). It protects the tissues in the buttock region and the neighbouring anatomical structures. It protects the surgeon's hand and cuts down operating time, there hitherto being no surgical instrument suitable for the exteriorization of the proximal end of the intramedullary pin used in the surgical correction of the fractures described above.
