Ultrasonic measuring appts. for measurement of elastic properties - generates HF burst or shock waves, converges to point, and detects amplitude and phase or reflected waves
摘要
The ultrasonic measurement device uses a standard source to generate high frequency burst or shock waves from ultrasonic waves. The ultrasonic waves are converged onto a point and directed towards a specimen and reflected waves are converted into an electrical signal. The probe position can be varied in the z-axis or incident direction w.r.t. the transmission reception devices. The phase of the detected signal is detected using a reference signal and the phase sensitive detection method. The amplitude and phase of the received signal are determined from the output detected by the phase detector. USE/ADVANTAGE - For determining elastic properties e.g. Young`s modulus of small sections of specimens. Phase sensitive detection is performed without changing phase sensitive section even for high frequencies or when signal frequency changes.
