<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the set time of the data transmission speed in a data transmission speed setting device in a communication system provided with not only a current transmission route but also a backup transmission route as transmission routes. CONSTITUTION:A data transmission speed storage means 11, a data transmission speed discriminating means 12, and a data transmission speed changing means 13 are provided; and if trouble occurs in the current data transmission route, it is discriminated whether the data transmission speed of a backup transmission equipment and that of a transmission equipment connected to it are equal to each other or not based on stored contents of the data transmission speed. If they are not equal, the data transmission speed of the backup transmission equipment is so changed that they are equal to each other.</p> |
