The seed drill has at least one seed sowing share with a body (3) of hollow rectangular cross-section on a support (1). A pipe (4) delivers the seeds to the share body. During sowing, the share tip forms a furrow, and a flap (9) is swung upwards to a specified position to allow the seeds to fall from the pipe into the furrow. If the direction of travel of the seed drill is reversed, the share body swings about its support bolt in the forward direction and the flap is swung to a position for closing the outlet of the share body.
