A method for processing the circular contours parameter in dot matrix printer including a font home (22), a RAM (23,24) and a CPU (21) having an image buffer is performed by: storaging the input data to the image buffer; confirming whether the circular contous processing demand flag is set or not; loading the font data of image buffer side to accumulator, followed by adding the circular contours processing datas; storaging the added data to the image buffer.
