PURPOSE:To obtain a radiation detector where sensitivity at a low-energy portion is not reduced even if a radiation skewly enters. CONSTITUTION:A filter 2 with a smaller area than an area of a detection surface is installed on a front surface of a detection surface for detecting a radiation 4 of a radiation detection element 1 with a clearance. A radiation 41 which enters skewly is emitted to a detection surface directly through a clearance, thus enabling an amount of radiation 4 entering the radiation detection element 1 without passing through the filter 2 to be increased and preventing reduction in sensitivity at a low-energy portion when the radiation enters skewly.
