PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording medium which allows an image to be thermally recorded under a normal state during low temperature color development process and also allows a clear recorded image using the color tone and texture of a support surface to be obtained during high temperature color development process. CONSTITUTION:The above-described purposes are achieved by laminating a color discharging layer containing a discharging agent and a thermal color development layer sequentially on the surface of a support. A transparent film, a color sheet or a metal foil can be used as the support, and it is recommended that the thermal development layer be formed with a leuco color development layer containing leuco dye and a developer. In this case, the recommended color discharging agent is pyperidines, amidines or aromatic carboxylic acid di-substituted amides. |
