A cooling system maintains constant temp. in an injection moulding machine and uses cold water flowing from a common line to a number of cooling circuits and thence to one waste line. The feed and outlet are made with connectors; they have devices to record the cooling required and to adjust through flow in each circuit by means of a valve in a moulding for the feed pipe, this moulding holding the chamber of the valve. The through flow rates are controlled by a computer and ceramic valves; the latter have washers kept in their seatings by continuous pressure and ceramic seals and can be turned by impulse-controlled moto-s. Each of the main flowline mouldings has a passage at right angles to the main flow direction which is covered by the washer to form the valve chamber.
