PURPOSE:To enable cooling of the whole of a coil to a superconduction transition temperature or lower by adopting a saddle winding method along a through- hole having a heat insulating layer as a method for bypassing a through-hole of a normal temperature when winding a coil. CONSTITUTION:A through-hole 5 of normal temperature is formed in a central part of a superconducting solenoid coil of an outline phi of 300mm and a length of 500mm with an object of various physical experiences. A cross section of the normal temperature through-hole 5 is 15mm in diameter and a periphery thereof is covered with a heat insulating layer of 30mm in diameter. A saddle- type winding method 7 is adopted in a region wherein winding is practically difficult by formation of a through-hole to prevent generation of a cavity on a winding. The normal temperature through-hole 5 of a coil and a cryostat are combined and an entire is immersed and cooled in liquid helium 8. Thereby, it is possible to realize high magnetic field and high uniformity while having a normal temperature through-hole in a wiring part of a coil, which was difficult. |
