The capped lamp/reflector unit comprises a reflector body (1), an electric lamp (9) whose electric element (10) is aligned with respect to said body (1) and a cap (5) from which contact pins (8) extend. Within the cap (5) the pins (8) have a widened portion (12) having an end face (13) transverse to the optical axis (3) of the reflector body (1). The current supply conductors (11) of the electric lamp (9) are cut to length transverse to said axis (3) and butt-welded to the contact pins (8).
