<p>PURPOSE:To provide a novel method for culture of suspending animal cells efficiently and stably for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:The objective culture method made up of (A) a culture process designed to allow a suspending animal cells-contg. culture solution to flow through a culture bed consisting of a porous three-dimensional network structure with pores sufficiently larger in sizes than the cell sizes, (B) a culture solution- circulating process to recirculate the culture solution already passed through said culture bed to said culture bed, via a culture solution-holding tank, and (C) a culture solution-withdrawing process to withdraw part of the circulating culture solution out of the system. This method is also characterized by a lower cell density in the circulating culture solution than that in the culture bed.</p> |
