Blood sinking measurement arrangement - compares stored position measurement values with reference curves and derives position of blood serum boundary

The arrangement for measuring blood settlement contains a holder in which at least one measurement cuvette is held at a defined, pref. parallel, orientation w.r.t. the vertical. A measurement head has at least one light barrier (52) positioned w.r.t. the holder by a position drive (40). A transducer (76) produces a signal corresp. to the relative positions of the cuvette and measurement head. The measurement head and position transducer signals are fed to an evaluation unit (74) which stores them and compares them with at least one reference curve. The comparison results are used to extrapolate the positional end value of the blood serum boundary and pref. the rate of settlement. USE/ADVANTAGE - Enables rapid reliable evaluation of position of blood serum boundary.
