SAFETY GLASS MADE OF SYNTHETIC RESIN AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To prepare the title safety glass having high adhesiveness and excellent in impact resistance and durability by improving not only the adhesiveness of a polycarbonate resin plate and an intermediate bonding layer but also the adhesiveness of the intermediate bonding layer and other acrylic resin plate. CONSTITUTION:Safety glass made of a synthetic resin is formed by bonding a polycarbonate resin plate (A) and a styrene/methyl methacrylate copolymer resin plate (C) through a thermoplastic polyurethane intermediate bonding layer (B) composed of a reaction product of non-yellowing diisocyanate, polyether diol and a curing agent. This safety glass is prepared by heating and pressing the laminate of the polycarbonate resin plate (A), the specific thermoplastic polyurethane intermediate bonding layer (B) and the styrene/methyl methacrylate copolymer resin plate (C) at 100-150 deg.C under the pressure of 5-50kg/cm<2> by a hot press.
