The invention relates to a hose clip with a bearing point (10) for a band tightening screw (12), a metal housing (16) with a bracket (14) and an annularly curved flat metal band (18). At one end (20) the metal band (18) is rigidly secured to the bracket (14) and its other free end (22) can be led through a tunnel aperture (24) in the housing (16) close to the bracket. In addition, in the region of its free end (22), the metal band (18) has a grid-like set of perforations (26) with oblique transverse shoulders (28) to engage with a short thread (30) on the tightening screw (12) in the bracket region (14) of the housing (16). To permit automatic manufacture with a high degree of process reliability, the housing takes the form of a one-piece bent component attached by laser weld seams (36, 38) at joining points (32, 34) in the region of the bearing point (10) and the saddle (14). In addition, one end of the band (20) is either butt or lap-welded to the bracket (14) by another laser weld seam (40). The band tightening screw (12) is arranged axially and radially in the bearing point (10) with a head section (64) and, at the end opposite the head section (64) has a short thread (30). The short thread (30) can be fully axially moved out of its region of engagement with the band perforation (26), thus permitting rapid fitting.
