<p>PURPOSE:To secure a power steering that receives no restriction to the setup of a steering auxiliary motor and is excellent in assembleability by holding a bearing, supporting an output shaft at the steering mechanism side in a housing, between both portions of two-piece housings. CONSTITUTION:A string wheel shaft 1 connecting a steering wheel and a steering mechanism is provided with an input shaft 12a, a torsion bar 3 and an output shaft 12b, and a housing 23 of the steering wheel shaft 1 is divided into two parts. The output shaft 12b is supported by two ball bearings 25, 26 in an inner part of the lower shaft housing 23. This housing 23 is formed into a two-piece structure, and these bearings 25, 26 supporting the output shaft 12b are held between these split parts. With this constitution, assembly of these bearings and the output shaft being housed inside becomes facilitated.</p> |
