PURPOSE:To effectively utilize the waveguide light in an optical waveguide layer, and to enhance the light utilization efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A prism 1 is fixed onto an optical waveguide layer 7, and a laser light 2 emitted from a semiconductor laser 20 is made incident on the prism 1. Light reflected by the reflecting face 3 of the prism 1 and light which is not made incident on the reflecting face 3 are inputted and coupled to the optical waveguide layer 7, and become waveguide light 5, 6, respectively. These waveguide light is projected to one point of an optical disk 10 by condensing grating couplers 12a, 12b. |
