PURPOSE:To enhance a lighter weight, shorten working time, and reduce manufacturing cost by forming a shaft from a plastic metal pipe. CONSTITUTION:In a steering shaft 1 in which a resin 17 is charged between a shaft and an outer cylinder 3 to form energy absorbing parts 18, 19, a locking flat part 4 to the outer cylinder 3 and a plurality of ring recessed parts 5 for charging the resin are formed on the anti-steering wheel side of a plastic metal pipe 12. On the steering wheel side of the pipe 2, an upper bearing disposing part 7, a screw part for disposing a bearing fixing nut, a serrated shaft 13 for locking a steering wheel, and a screw part 15 for disposing a locking nut are integrally formed in the order from the inside toward the outside. |
