PURPOSE:To obtain the planographic printing plate having excellent plate wear even if the printing plate is developed with a developer which does net substantially contain org. solvents. CONSTITUTION:This process for producing the planographic printing plate consists in dissolving a photosensitive compsn. which contains an arom. diazonium compd. having at least one kind selected from a group consisting of a carboxyl group, sulfonic acid group, sulfinic acid group, and an oxyacid group of phosphorus into a solvent mixture composed of at least two kinds of solvents selected from a high boiling solvent having >=115 deg.C b.p. and low boiling solvent having <=95 deg.C b.p. respective, applying the soln. prepd. in such a manner on a base and drying the coating to obtain the photosensitive planographic printing plate, subjecting such planographic printing plate to image exposing and developing the plate with an aq. alkaline developer which has >=12pH at 25 deg.C and does not substantially contain the org. solvents. |
