PURPOSE:To accurately execute the design of a sequential circuit more smaller and with high performance at high speed by performing the allocation of a code at high speed. CONSTITUTION:A priority decision part 2 counts the number of passes transiting from another state for all the states, and decides the priority of the state in sequence of the one with larger number of passes. A reference state decision part 3 decides the state with the maximum number of passes as a reference state. A state transition pass extraction part 4 retrieves a pass route transiting one by one from the reference state to the state with the highest weight between the states. A state code generating part 5 generates state codes with values different only in one bit sequentially. A state code allocating part 6 allocates a generated code according to the order of a transition pass route. The code is allocated to the state not included in a found pass route according to the priority of the state. |
