PURPOSE:To process the large capacity of color image data at high speed without using any semiconductor memory by providing a means to parallelly and simultaneously read plural data from a secondary storage medium for storing the color image data. CONSTITUTION:The color data inputted from the outside are synchronized by a synchronizing circuit 1 for color data reading and stored in cylinders 24-26 by heads 21-23 of a hard disk device 2. The color data for one frame stored in the hard disk device 2 are simultaneously and parallelly read out by the respective heads 21-23 for the unit of a picture element. A color transformation circuit 3 simultaneously transforms the color data from R, G and B to Y, M, C and K, and a synchronizing circuit 4 for color data transfer selects the color data to be stored by a printer 5. Thus, since a secondary storage medium 2 is used for storing the color data and the plural data can be simultaneously read out from the secondary storage medium 2, the large capacity of color image data can be processed at high speed without using any semiconductor memory. |
