PURPOSE:To obtain a system capable of shortening processing time and easy to keep the connectivity of a black picture element to hold the nature of the line of an original image when the thinning of an image is performed. CONSTITUTION:In a first process, a CPU 5 separates a digital image stored in image memory 4 into the black picture element, a white picture element, and a pending picture element. In a second process, the CPU 5 performs the thinning of the pending picture element by keeping the connectivity of the black picture element by referring to pending picture element thinning decision data 13 stored in memory 6, thereby, a thinned black picture element can be obtained. |
