<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the dust precipitating electrode part of the air cleaner and to improve its performance as well as to form the body which is small, lightweight, inexpensive and highly reliable. CONSTITUTION:The dust precipitating electrode part 34 is constituted by alternately disposing flat planar plus electrodes 38 and flat planar minus electrodes 39 so as to face each other, mounting comb-shaped inorg. insulators 40 to both ends between both electrodes 38 and 39 mentioned above to hold spacings between the alternate electrodes 38 and 39, projecting the flat planar minus electrodes 39 from the flat planar plus electrodes 38 to a discharge device part 33 side and setting the size of the meshes of prefilters 32 smaller than the spacings between the flat planar plus electrodes 38 and the flat planar minus electrodes 39.</p> |
