Damper on the back of a bike. The independent fork (1) pivots via a stationary spindle at the centre of the arms on each side which, this spindle, is placed via a rolling-contact bearing, on the fork (2) fixed to the frame. The rear wheel hub is placed at one end and is immobilised there, and the dampers, performing their effect by bearing on the fork (2), are at the other end. <IMAGE>
