The measuring device has a hollow cylindrical magnetic conductor (15) enclosing a spring strap (1) attached to a bridge plate (2) fitting around a permanent magnet (4) with associated pole shoes (5). Bearings (7) for the frame (8) carrying the pointer needle are provided by the bridge plate (2) and the end of the spring strap (1), symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the permanent magnet (4). The inside face of the spring strap (1) has rounded tongues (13) arranged in opposing pairs, fitting into the gap between the permanent magnet (4) and the pole shoes (5).
