The plastics card is attached to a paper or other supporting sheet and detachably joined by means of adhesive in the form of a double-sided label (4'). The label (4') covers only part of the card's (2,3) surface facing the support (1,6). The separate card (2,3) is joined to the double-sided adhesive label (4') and then the card (5) together with label (4') are conveyed to the support (6) to which they are joined. The labels (4') are stored on a strip wound over a roller (15). USE/ADVANTAGE - The card, such as cheque or store card, can be attached to its support and detached from it.
